Does anyone know of any places to apply for scholarships, other than from your school????? Just curious, I already applied for scholarships through my school but I would love to apply for more!

Look at places like UAWs, local veterans' organizations, etc. Those places offer a lot of small scholarships to sponsor local students. I got a few for undergrad that way!

Also, I read an article somewhere (or maybe it was on here?) that suggested petitioning large companies for money. It still sounds strange to me, but apparently some companies are required to have a certain % devoted to charity, and apparently a scholarship would count. It's worth further research, at least.

If you are asking for vet school: just don't get your hopes up to get anything more than a thousand if you are lucky. Scholarships for professional school are very few and far between.

If you are asking for undergrad: there is a site somewhere that compiles most scholarships and their requirements. You can sort through and see which ones you fit and apply. I think it's put together via Kaplan, but its been 10 years since I applied for them.

This. I applied to pretty much every scholarship I qualified for, and probably spent as much time in my first three years of vet school doing research and extracurriculars to make myself competitive for scholarships as I did for school. I was fairly successful in getting them, and I think a total of 7 scholarships resulted in roughly $15k. It definitely helped but it was a lot of work to get them, and when cost of attendance is like a quarter of a million dollars... It doesn't seem like a whole lot.

basically you got less than a bill gates' minute:
According to a report by Wealth-X, in 2013 Bill Gates earned about $23,148 per minute
