  1. Pre-Optometry
Hello everyone, I was wondering what schools if any have scholarship opportunities to their optometry program.(Nova?) what kind of requirements/pre-reqs do they require, academic wise and residency? and when is the deadline for them?

Most schools have scholarships to give out to incoming students. You don't usually have to apply for them because most schools simply pick from the admitted students and decide who gets one. I got offered $3,000 a year from SCO and a smaller one from ohio state. It all depends on your stats and interview.

I got one from ICO for $7500/year... not going there though! You don't have to apply for the scholarships at ICO; you're automatically considered for them when you apply.

most give out the scholarships when you apply, but UHCO has scholarships given for academics and clinical performance once you get to second and third year.

A NOVA admissions counselor told me they do not have scholarships.
