School Deadline Question

I am applying this year and havent yet submitted my application nor takin the DAT, but my state schools deadline is October 1st. My question is does this mean my AADSAS application must be submitted by October 1st or does this mean that my application and official DAT scores must be to them by Oct 1st? The reason for my delay in submitting my application is I am waiting to take the DAT and see what my scores are before submitting it. Thanks for the clarification.

The rule of thumb is earlier the better. Don't wait until the last minute to rush everything in.
