So I was originally planning on attending physical therapy school and so I completed one semester of chemistry and one semester of organic chemistry. Changed my mind and want to attend pharmacy school now, and these specific classes won't be accepted by pharmacy schools. Consequently, I will need to take chem I & II during summer session 2013, and orgo I & II during the 2013-2014 academic year since they all need to be done in sequence.

Anyway, this means I will be completing a decent number of the requirements for pharmacy school during the 2013-2014 calendar year. However, most of the deadlines for applications are in early November from what I can tell. Does this mean I can't apply for admission for the fall of 2014? Or can I apply without having completed a handful of the courses required, as long as I am scheduled to finish them during the fall and spring semesters?

Thanks for any advice!

EDIT: I actually found that it is possible to apply despite not having finished all the pre-reqs. So my next question is, if I'm looking to take about 5 or 6 of the pre-requisites during my (super) senior year, is it realistic to expect to be admitted for the following fall? I have a 3.95 GPA in my coursework so far which has been a fairly challenging course load.

I still have 6-7 pre-reqs that need to be completed, I don't think it's a problem. However, I did things backwards, and completed all the upper division requirements before the lower division. Ideally you would want them to at least have your organic chemistry and biochemistry grades. But I think you should be fine, plus you have a great GPA.

Yes, I believe it is realistic. Schools expect you to apply during the summer the year prior to you being matriculated, so you would have 2 semesters (plus summer, potentially) to finish up course work. They admit you contingent upon completing any necessary prereqs with a sufficient grade prior to matriculation.

My question would be - what about the PCAT?
