school email needed?

Do I need a school email address to receive replies from med schools during the application process? I was told that free accounts, such as yahoo, hotmail, and aol are not allowed to be used due to security reasons. Any truth to this?

not true.......

if that were true, how would anyone ever be admitted to medical school after they had graduated???!!!

Definately not true. A school email address is not something med schools can ask you to have. I had an AOL email address and had no problems receiving any emails.
