Hi guys, I've been trying to organize my school list, I'm looking to apply to around ~35 schools and I am from New Jersey. I got a 509 on my MCAT and have a 3.89 cgpa and a 3.80 sgpa, as well as completed some research but no publications. I have accumulated >100 hours of non-clincal volunteering, >100 hours of clinical volunteering so far which I am continuing to add too and >3k hours of direct patient care experience as an MA and I am now starting a new position as a scribe. I have ~20 hours of shadowing as well that I am also adding to. I want to apply DO and MD and I'd love any opinions on these programs.
Here's the list I have so far: The NJ programs are a definite for me, thank you!!

Yes I know I just wanted some opinions on the schools themselves I’ve done my own research but just wanted to see if anyone could offer any personal insights

It might be early, but have you scoured through the School-Specific and X vs. Y discussions? What is your purpose as a physician? That may help narrow the discussion.

Keep gaining more non-clinical hours at the food bank. If you will be scribing, take 50 hours from that and count that as shadowing with your existing hours. Since you want to be closer to 35 programs, I took out ones that take few OOS/out of area applicants or expect higher stats or much higher volunteer hours (Rush):

NYMC

For DO, you are competitive and can comfortably take a few of these off to save some time and money. I suggest:

PCOM
Rowan DO
VCOM
CUSOM
MSU DO
UNECOM
NYIT
Des Moines
KCU
Touro NY

Do you think I could be competitive for NYMC? I thought my stats were a little too low?

Do you have the latest MSAR on it? it has historically been a similar school to Albany, and you are more competitive for either of them then Hofstra.
I do and my mcat is not in their range thats why I wasn't too sure, I think their average mcat is a 516.
