I posted this over in the chance me thread, but I want to seek more input! Looking at the dental school guides posted in this forum for OOS friendly schools, I have narrowed down these school that also compliment accepting AP Credit (since I am using AP Physics). I'd love a second pair of eyes on this list of schools or recommendations to take some out or add some in that I have over looked.

Volunteering: 400+ Camp & Service trips
Research: Just a few research projects for classes
Work: Perio Dental Assistant (Currently)
FOR: 2 Professors (biology, one is department head), 2 Dentists (general, perio)
Residency: CO
Ethnicity: Asian

Schools:
Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine-Arizona (MWU)

Pretty sure Rutgers doesn't accept AP credits. They also favor in-state and have an average DAT of 22, so it may be tough if you aren't from NJ.

My updated list of schools after further consideration:

Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine-Arizona (MWU) AZ 01/01/2017
The University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine (COL) CO 01/01/2017
University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine (CONN) CT 12/01/2016
Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine (NSU) FL 12/01/2016
University of Florida College of Dentistry (FLA) FL 11/01/2016
University of Maryland School of Dentistry (MYD) MD 12/31/2016
Columbia University College of Dental Medicine (CUL) NY 12/31/2016
The Ohio State University College of Dentistry (OSU) OH 10/01/2016
Roseman University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine (USN) UT 12/01/2016

Thats fine, but Florida is 90 percent in state. The other 10 percent are Georgia and Alabama. You're just throwing away money. Ohio State isnt far behind at 85 percent.

Does OSU have preferred OOS states? Im considering applying to OSU. Maybe I shouldn't.

I'm an ohio resident. It is actually hard for out of state students to get an interview at OSU. They do keep a number of seats aside just for out of state students but it's not a lot at all. I mean you could try to apply there if you have the money, but I know a girl who was from colorado but went to OSU for undergrad and had similar stats to you but she didn't even get an interview invite.

Thanks for the insight I'll keep that in mind as I finalize my list of schools! A lot of people have recommended osu on this forum but it seems like it may be harder than anticipated.

After much consideration I think I have it finalize and will submit tomorrow upon finishing my personal statement! Any thoughts?

Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine-Arizona (MWU)
The University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine (COL)
University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine (CONN)
University of Maryland School of Dentistry (MYD)
Columbia University College of Dental Medicine (CUL)
Touro College of Dental Medicine at New York Medical College NY
Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine (CASE)
Roseman University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine (USN)
Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry (VCU)

is there a reason why you are applying to MWU arizona and not the one in Illinois? I just want to know because I've seen people apply only to one of them and not the other and I don't really know why.

Arizona was simply closer to home, so flights out there would be cheaper if I got the interview and I was trying to keep costs down while applying to schools since I was already at 9 schools.

Hi everyone! I know this thread is old but I just wanted to confirm that Maryland does accept AP credit? On their website it says they go on a case by case basis when it comes to distance learning, so does that mean they'll do the same for traditional courses? Also do you guys know if USC accepts AP credit?

I heard Rutgers is OOS friendly, but it is true they do not accept AP credit.
