Hi Everyone!
I will be applying to allopathic medical schools this summer. I was wondering if I could please get some input/critique on my list of schools. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Stats:
GPA: 4.0
MCAT: 512 (128/129/128/127)
LizzyM: 71.8
Residence: Permanent Wisconsin resident, but I attend college in Minnesota
Female, ORM
Interest in Rural Medicine (grew up on a dairy farm)
Possible specialty choices: orthopedics, emergency medicine, geriatrics, family medicine
Volunteering: 150+ hours volunteering with a pediatric music therapist, other scattered volunteering experiences with my school
Chief Scribe in an ED, ~525 hours scribing so far
~2500 hours working as a CNA in an assisted living
10 hours of shadowing an orthopedic surgeon, 6 hours shadowing a pathologist and pathologist's assistant
Extra-curricular activities: Pre-Professional Careers Club president, student ambassador, chancellor's representative, research symposium presenter in my school for the past 2 years, precinct delegate for my political party, student government member, agricultural-related experiences, writing TA, general chemistry TA, student blogger for the admissions department
