School List for Clinical/Medical Informatics? - Stats in Post

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
You seem like a compelling applicant!! I Don’t have specific advice regarding medical informatics programs but perhaps do a literature review and pick out programs based on where professors are that are publishing important papers in that field. Just a heads up: be sure to submit soonish. Supposedly if secondaries aren’t in during the summer, almost all interview spots have already been given out and even very competitive applicants can get boxed out. On a separate note I’m curious about how disability has impacted your perspective and goals in medicine

Just wanted to update, UIUC indeed no longer accepts applications (everyone should be applying to Carle). Carle does not currently offer an MD-PhD, so I'll likely take it off my list (even though they do show some love for engineering undergrads, I want to focus on MD-PhD programs for the most part).
There's a little flexibility there- discussions are underway to formally restart the MD-PhD program through Carle Illinois, and in the meantime the break between Phases 1 & 2 can potentially be used to complete another advanced degree. Talk to admissions to get the official scoop
