Need help with making a school list on where to apply for the current cycle.
Stats & Information:
1. URM in an underserved community (Latina)
2. Located in CA
3. CGPA: 3.5
SGPA: 3.4
- with an upward trend, retook calculus and preparatory chem: got a A- and B+
Post bacc GPA (about 50 units) : 3.9 SGPA and 3.8 CGPA (Organic chem 1 and 2, physics 1 and 2, biology 2, and many upper division biology classes )
4. Bachelors in public health from a UC
5. 2000 hours ED scribing (2 years)
6. 500 hours as a medical assistant in a gastroenterology office
7. Volunteer: 100 hours Red Cross, 100 hours cancer center, 1,000+ hours volunteer as a teacher assistant
8. Shadowing: 50 hours OBGYN, 72 hours ER, 20 gastroenterology, and 10 hours ortho
9. Deans list 2x and Chancellors list x1
10. MCAT: 508
Prefer to stay in California and open to both MD and DO.
