Out of state schools have seen that TX applicants almost always stay in-state due to the cheaper tuition available to them. I suggest sticking to 10 or so schools you’d consider over your TMDSAS options, and try to target ones that know they can offer something (either financially and/or reputation wise) to compete. Schools such as Penn State, NYMC and Loyola do not expect even non-Texans with a 520 MCAT to ultimately matriculate.

I suggest:

Loma Linda (only if you have the same religious beliefs)
Kaiser
NYU
UCLA
Emory
WUSTL
Vanderbilt
Northwestern
Miami
Mayo
UVA

You do not need to apply DO.

Describe further how you identify as disadvantaged. This is important because TMDSAS is doing what it can to highlight disadvantaged applicants to schools. Mission fit is very important for Texas and your OOS options, and I'm not sure if starting an online tutoring group during the pandemic is enough to attract attention for an interview.
