Hello everybody. I have to reapply since I have been waitlisted in 4 schools (1 of them just rejected me) and better be ready than sorry. So, I need your help figuring out to what schools should I apply. I am looking to apply to about 25 schools and I already know that I will choose those that gave me interviews (BU, Rochester, Baylor, TCMC and Mizzou), and eliminate those that rejected me pre-interiew (Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Geisel, Georgetown, Hopkins, Kech, Loyola, Mayo, NYU, SLU, and Brown).
- My stats: 3.986 GPA, and 31 MCAT
- ECS: Genetics tutor last semester, volunteer as a medical Spanish interpreter for a year, officer position in the Premed society of my school, about 100 hrs of shadowing, research for 2 summers and one semester in Wash U Med School (no publications), and overall about 120 hrs of volunteering (including the interpreter position and some miscellaneous activities). Also, I have 5 letters of recommendation: 1 from the doctor I shadowed, 1 from my tutor supervisor, and 3 from professors. All of them are pretty strong, according to my advisor.
I would greatly appreciate your suggestions to about schools as well as what could I improve in my application to have better chances next year.
