Hi guys. Like everybody else, I am trying to figure out the right schools I should be applying to when the cycle opens.

Some info :

(white male)
major: biology (+chem minor)
residency: PA
oGPA: 3.9
sGPA: 3.85
DAT: 20 AA/20 TS/23 PAT
shadowing: 75 hours (will continue shadowing after finals to get it 100+)
volunteer: 300+ hours
work: 750 hours (various jobs + tutoring)
extracurriculars: 4 clubs (also some manual dexterity activites)
leadership: on the commitee for a memorial/fundraiser
research: none (but will be doing some in fall of 2018)
LORS: 2 science 1 dentist

schools:

Pittsburgh
Temple
LECOM
WVU (i know it's kind of bad for out of state)
Ohio State
VCU
Boston
Detroit
Buffalo
Marquette
Maryland
Rutgers
Tufts

This is a pretty rough list. Let me know if i should remove or add anything based off stats or some other aspect of my application. Thank you in advance !

I heard that UPenn favors high GPA so I think you should give it a try! (I am also saying this because I have similar stats as yours haha)

haha fair enough. I figured my dat was a little too low for me to consider it

Nope, not at all! I have had friends with a lower DAT get into Penn. High GPA's. Overall, good school selection besides WVU (too few seats) they may not even offer an interview because they know you have a better chance at other schools (due to your stats). I would save the money and apply elsewhere. Good luck my friend!

Okay thank you! I will defintely add Penn then. Also the reason I will probably keep WVU is because I shadowed an orthodontist that is a professor at the dental school (not sure if that is really significant or not but worth a shot I guess)
