School List

I am almost ready to submit my application for this cycle. I am having some concerns about my schools list. I am thinking of trimming my list down to 6 schools.

Current list:
Marquette
Iowa
Colorado
Louisville
Detroit Mercy
Pitt
Penn
Harvard

I am a Wisconsin resident, GPA: 3.89, DAT AA:27.

Is it worth it to apply to 8 schools? I am thinking of eliminating Pitt and UDM, or Penn and UDM.

Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you.

27 AA lol. U choose where you go. I applied to 4 schools and got into one.

As long as you don’t interview badly or the people interviewing don’t like you, you’ll be fine.

I met one person similar to your stats who was a reapplicant.

Just apply to the places where you would attend if it were the only place that accepted you. In other words, if there is a school that is what you hope would be a "safety school", then get rid of it. The concept of a safety school doesn't exist when it comes to dental school.
