I was wondering if your med school offers a faculty lead USMLE step 1 review course? Our school is contemplating it and we're trying to advise them on what would be helpful to us as 2nd year students. I'd love any recs or info you had on anything offered from your school.
Thanks!!

I'd be concerned they are not in the loop of what is currently tested, and it would end up being a crash course in what various profs thought was high yield, which may or may not actually be. So the key probably would be to have a lesson plan that tracks FA or some of the other supposedly "in the know" resources. But then, is that really an advantage over just studying on your own? Your faculty should check out the crash courses or on site videos offered by Kaplan and see if they can duplicate that experience.

we had a prof here try to do that a couple yrs back and i heard it really backfired...i think its because not enough "research" into the test was done, and for the most part, the prof just showed students slides from past course lectures...eh...

Sure, tell the prof he can go home.

Then put on Dr. Goljans Path audio and have everyone listen to it.

If they are just thinking of doing it, won't Step I be done with by the time it's implemented?
