Which dental schools require psychology as a requirement?

Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health
Boston University School of Medicine
Case Western Reserve University
Indiana University
New York University
Nova Southeastern University
Temple University
Tufts University
University of Louisville
University of Missouri Kansas City
University of Pittsburgh
Virginia Commonwealth University

Any of these??

IU does. I know that for a fact. Other than that, just check the schools' individual websites- it's time consuming, but if you want the correct answers that's what you'll have to do.

I'll just speak for BU...

No psychology is required. They "strongly" recommend at least 18 hours in the social sciences.

any other's off hand????

For UMKC, it is not listed as an exact requirement, psychology is listed under the "strongly recommended" list of courses.

"It is advantageous to have course credit in .... social/behavioral sciences (such as psychology) .... "

Hope that helps 🙂

I have searched each school's website and can not find anything about required classes......there must be an easier way!!!

There is. It's called abandon all hope for you are too oblivious to deserve to even apply.

Case requirements:

Prerequisites

All applicants are considered regardless of major. Prerequisite courses are as follows.

12 semester hours of chemistry, of which 6 hours are organic chemistry;

6 semester hours of biology;

6 semester hours of physics;

6 semester hours of English.

The science courses must include laboratory instruction. Suggested pre-dental science electives include comparative anatomy, cell biology, genetics, biochemistry, microbiology, and physiology.

Experience indicates that students likely to be given first priority are those who have achieved superior grades in the basic sciences and who have taken an adequate sampling of courses in the social sciences and humanities to give them a broad background.

GPAs are not considered the only measure of a student's level of performance in school. Also taken into account are the type of college attended and the relationship between grades obtained and DAT scores.

I'm sorry, but Jesus H. Christ, if he can't navigate around a website he can't be the sharpest tack or maybe he's just the most oblivious amongst us- you know the kind if there were still wolves and other large predators that he would get picked from the herd first. Why should we lead him through this by the hand as if he were a Kindergartener? He's apparently got some college behind him or he wouldn't be here. Let him figure it out on his own- we pointed him in the right direction. Now he needs to grow up and start being self-reliant.

thanks for the boost 👎 :meanie: ......currently I am at work and I just wanted some quick answers, I need to get into a class this summer if needed and haven't had the time to navigate all the schools websites yet.....I figured someone had already done some homework and would be willing to help someone out......that is the point of this forum....right....guess not

thanks to all the people who helped 👍

here is some wisdom for ISU_Steve: get the sand out of you vagina :laugh:

I think your concern should be fixing your own glaring deficencies. Namely pulling your head out of your ass if you want to get admitted.
