I interviewed at UCSF and is neither rejected or accepted. I got an email from UCSF asking for my SSN for financial aid purpose only. Any idea if this means positive news in the near future?

Got same email, what does it mean? Did they also say "This information is for ....., should you be offered a position in the entering class"...?

I don't think it means anything until you get the phone call. This could just be a background check, if they were to offer an acceptance.

I got the email too. I don't think it means acceptance since the people who got Dec 1 acceptances apparently didn't get this email. It might be for potential waitlists???
Come to think of it, it is kind of random...hmmm, maybe I should have called in my SSN 🙁

why making rumors? My interview is in a week and I got the same email; secondly how do you know that people who got acceptances didn't receive the same email??? or why do they need your SSN for putting you on the waitlist lol Don't Panic----

I got accepted on Dec 1st and I don't have an email from them nor do I know anyone else who got accepted getting it either.

I got the email from UCSF a couple minutes after I got the official acceptance email along with the other post-acceptance emails they send.

Solution: Don't email. Simply call the office. 👍
