Thank you for taking the time to read this. I have posted a few times previously and am seeking some input regarding school designations.
Here's the deal: I applied this past cycle (14 schools, no interviews) and the cycle before that (12 schools, 2 interviews) with a 3.26 cgpa and a 3.08 sgpa. I had a DAT of 20/20/20 and roughly 500 hours of shadowing and dental assisting.
This past year, I did an informal post-bacc with 7 upper division science classes and received all A's. This raised my numbers to 3.37 cgpa and 3.28 sgpa. In total, I've accumulated about 950 hours shadowing and assisting. My DAT is the same. I realize that my numbers are still on the lower end so I'm wondering what schools (and how many) you would suggest applying to this time around.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! 🙂
