Ok I am not posting this to piss anyone off or to make it seem that some schools are inferior to others. I fully understand that gpa and mcat are just numbers and only tell a part of who a person is and that there is much more to take into consideration when it comes to applications.
BUT at the same time I would like to know which school(s) has/have the highest gpa and mcat average(s) and what they are? I have tried to email schools and find out but I have been getting a wide range of numbers that differ from the averages people have posted in this forum. Thanks.

Hello,
Do me a favor really quickly before reading the rest of my reply .... convince yourself that gpa/mcat does NOT = prestige, or better school, or anything else in that respect. Seriously, don't try to just go to the school that has the highest gpa/mcat ... go the school that fits you the best. It's not all about that kinda stuff ... it's about training to become the best physician you can be ... now with that Dr. Coxesque speech out of the way ..... I think Western has the highest gpa/mcat. 3.55/28 or something. Just go check princetonreview.com !!

I don't know if it's the highest but last year's TCOM class was 3.44 and 28. I agree with what's been posted earlier. Not sure how much this has to do witht he quality of students, but I'm sure it can't hurt to know.

Then what's the point of having SDN!?

You think the point of SDN is to provide statistical information on DO schools? That would get pretty boring . . .

DMU for 2011:

gpa: 3.64 (overall), 3.59 (science)
mcat: 27

not too shabby to me...😉

SDN's purpose is to provide a medium for major e-penis flexing and home to the ones and onlys MD vs DO flame wars...yeah that's it.

Whered you get that scar, eating...?

Yea agree for the most part though- a lot of e-penis flexing, I have also gotten some decent info out of this place though. The interviews they post are awesome sometimes.
