How beneficial is it to attend a school that has its own hospital? It seems like the opportunities for rotations and jobs would be greater than compared to a school that lacked a hospital. Is this something that should be taken into consideration when choosing a school to attend?

It is helpful, especially if you are considering a career in health systems. You will have access to clinical pharmacists and pharmacy residents. It is a factor to consider; the relative importance is something you'll need to decide.

It is REALLY good if you're considering doing a residency. Also, some rotations may be perormed there too, so the convience factor is nice too

My school has a hospital and in 3-1/2 years I've never set foot in it beyond the cafeteria. It wasn't even an IPPE site.

The only times I go through the hospital are when I had to get to a meeting in one of the other buildings, and the shortest way was through the hospital.

I also go to the hospital sometimes to go to the sandwich shop and the coffee shop.

Even if a school is not associated with a hospital, there will most likely be an IPPE/APPE site at a regional hospital.
