For those of us still waiting to hear from a few more schools, I thought it would be helpful if we could compile a list as to where each school stands with the admissions process. Hopefully this can be an ongoing thing. So, if you know a school is finished interviewing, let us know. Or if you know when a school is planning on finishing, let us know that too. So if you have late interview dates (March or later) post those as well. Thanks!

I am interviewing later this month at LECOM (they are interviewing through end of March) and I received a letter this weekend from NYCOM. Hoping to hear from PCOM, if anyone knows anything there!

Hey... My overall GPA (not counting this term, which was a 3.82 or something) is 3.36 (according to accom) and my science is 3.20 (I had a bad freshman year and have brought it up year after year) My MCAT was 9V, 10P, 12B and an R. What about others?

LECOM is definately still interviewing. We had a group in the other day....they all looked like they were walking the last mile down the hallway to the room! I have an interview at OSU in Tulsa on March 29. I talked to admissions last week and they have filled 60 of the 88 seats. She assured me there will still be a lot of "movement" in the class though.

Gee NurseyK, If you're talking about the Monday (2/4) group, I didn't know we looked that bad! But, I wouldn't want to go around with a silly grin on my face. They might wonder what was wrong with me. Loved your school and hope to get an acceptance letter soon. 😎 🙂 😀

I have an interveiw at UHS on Feb 22 and AZCOM on Feb 28, so they are still interviewing.

NurseyK-- What program are you in at LECOM? Do you like it? I am interviewing there in 2 weeks!! I am thinking about heading down the PBL track if they are so gratious as to let me in! ;-)

KCOM is still interviewing....an ambassador called me last night and basically told me to complete my secondary and get my letters in. I said you guys are still interviewing? She said "Uh yea...thats why I am calling..." Dumb question I guess...KCOM intrigues me but I am unsure about the location.

I just interviewed at NYCOM on Feb 7, I have PCOM feb 18th, Des Moines feb 21st, and NOVA March 4th. I think it's safe to say that all of these schools are still interviewing.

The dates that are posted...are these the last days of when these schools interview? or are these simply days that some people have interviews on? I'm confused.

I'm asking because if the dates posted are the last day that the schools are interviewing, then that means I won't be getting an interview with most of the schools listed?!? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />

Okay...I've recently received some interviews, so I'll help out w/ the list.....TUCOM and COMP are interviewing until mid-late March. COMP has spaces open at the end of this month. TUCOM's earliest spaces are March 19thish. I know WVSOM is interviewing until early April b/c when I called that's what I was told. I'm still waiting to hear from NYCOM and CCOM.... 🙁

My friend turned in his PCOM application late (probably mid January-- does anyone know if he has a shot of getting an interview? (other than stats, I mean is that too late in the game?)

NurseyK- Is the lecture pathway really bad? I teach in UG and it's more of a "let's do problems to learn Orgo" rather than rehashing lecture, so I think I would enjoy the PBL. Also, the IS-- if you know-- how often do you have to be at the school (other than anatomy lab first year)

I think UHS will interview thru June. This is what I got from the reply from UHS.
"Your file is complete. It is in our qualified pool. Those files are reviewed periodically to select applicants for interviews. We will be
interviewing until June 14, 2002. If you have any questions, please let me know."

We have an attendance policy, therefore, you sit in lecture from 8-4 or 5 most days. I get a lot out of the lectures - it's certainly not a "waste" (for me). I find attending lectures one more time of "exposing" myself to the material. As you may have heard, medschool is vastly different from undergrad - we have an extrordinary amount of material thrown at us. I'm sorry that I can't help you as far as PBL or ISP -- we see them at least 1x/week when they go to OMM -- other than that, I don't have much info.
