This has happened to me twice this application cycle. Two schools, which I won't name, have lost my application.

One school told me they "didn't have it on file" after weeks of contacting them to find out what is going on. Then they magically found it. Another told me that they have not received my information from the "graduate studies office". I applied, and followed up and was told everything was on file at both schools.

Of course you will fall to the bottom of the interview pile etc when they lose your applications. So far I have had two schools lose my applications and still others just refuse to even give a response regarding admissions.

This process is very disheartening.
