Schools that weigh SMPs?

So while my AMCAS app is being verified, I have about 5-6 schools that I can add ( for a total of 14) to apply to outside of Texas.

Since my uGPA is subpar, I was looking to schools that might place more emphasis on the MCAT (35) and SMP GPA (3.8-3.9).

I have 8 reaches that I submitted my app with so as an OOS, i have that aspect covered.

Any input is appreciated.

Im guessing tulane looks at mcat more than GPA. What else could explain the fact that their median is 3.5 but the mcat median is 33?

Possibly. I kinda want to stay away from ridiculously expensive schools though.

Any school that has its own SMP (Cincy, Tufts, BU, etc). Any mid-low tier school. For the schools that list where their SMP students have gone, look at those schools (since they've obviously accepted SMP candidates). Pretty any mid or low tier school would be acceptable, and you should have a pretty good chance given your excellent SMP gpa. And obviously, the school where you did your SMP. Given your GPA that should be a shoe-in!

My SMP was at a DO school, and I want to pursue an MD, for residency/specialty reasons. Nothing against DOs though. I just dont want to jump through all the hoops to get a competitive residency slot.
