Hey guys,

I'd appreciate any input and advice you guys have out there.
I just took my DAT June 30 and was wondering what schools I would have a chance with. I'm thinking of Boston, Columbia, NYU, USC, Howard (maybe? I'm Chinese....) However, I think I need to include a few more to my list and I'm a Canadian applicant :xf:

PA (25) 99.0%
QR (21) 96.4%
RC (20) 64.3% (kinda low i know) 👎
Bio (24) 98.9%
GC (22) 91.8%
OC (22) 90.4%
TS (23) 97.8%
AA (22) 97.0%

undergrad major in Chemistry with honours oGPA 3.33, sGPA 3.19.
thesis-based Masters degree in research in Organic Chemistry GPA3.85.

2 first author publications and 2 more publications that are in press or ready to submit soon.

Diploma in piano and a black belt in karate. Very artistic.

Don't have super amount of volunteering, just seniors home, and some health associations.

Dental shadowed about 40 hours.

First off, great job on the DAT. They will look only at your standard score, and not your percentile, so a 20 is pretty decent for RC.

Get rid of Columbia, they won't interview you unless you went to school in the states.
Get rid of Howard, they prefer applicants who are under-represented minorities in health care (African American, Native American, Hispanics).

Add Case, Michigan, Detroit Mercy, and upenn.

Good luck!

Michigan requires 100 hours of dental shadowing/volunteering so unless you plan on getting those hours, I wouldn't put them on your list.

I'm pretty nervous about this cycle........what do you guys think my chances of landing an interview are? I plan to submit in two days. Thanks all!
