Hey I'm an engineering student that wants to apply to dental school. I have taken extensive science courses and did well on my DAT. I am just wondering if there are any schools that have prerequisites that aren't as specific (microbio, cell bio etc.). I'm also Canadian who did my undergrad in the US and a lot of Canadian dental schools have few prerequisites.
Thanks

You might want to check your source for what Canadian schools require as prerequisites, since in reality, their requirements are very much similar to those for US dental schools. BC is the exception of not requiring physics, but does require biochemistry. UT is one of the oddballs by requiring only bio, biochem, and cell bio. Western only requires organic and biochemistry. It is not clear how that would be possible since chemistry department at bona fide universities require gc as a prerequisite for enrollment in oc; organic is usually a prerequisite for biochemistry.

If you did "well" on the DAT apply to roseman in Utah. They send interviews by ranking people from highest DAT applicant to lowest and then sending interviews out.
