hey guys,

i was wondering if any of you knew all of the schools that have no secondary, or at least a very easy bs one? i figure if they dont have a secondary i might as well apply since i have to put no effort into them, as long as i am half way interested in them at least.

thanks!

From the TMDSAS website, if you're considering TX schools:

4. Secondary Applications

The ONLY schools that require secondary applications are listed below. Schools not listed DO NOT require a secondary application.

Any questions relating to a secondary application should be directed to the respective school.
Any secondary application required documents and/or fees should be sent directly to the school and not to TMDSAS.

Secondary applications received after the TMDSAS application deadline may not receive full consideration.

Completion of the secondary application is required before the TMDSAS application is considered.
The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas
Texas A&M University Health Science Center College of Medicine
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine
The University of North Texas Health Science Center
Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine
Texas A&M University Health Science Center, Baylor College of Dentistry
Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine

UT-Houston, UT-Galveston, UT-San Antonio don't require secondaries.

Jefferson University & U. Penn

mcw was really easy, so was slu...washington u didn't ask for any essays either...though they wanted highschool stats...

you could look at the secondaries thread and see how difficult the secondaries are

Umm... not to sound dumb or anything, but which schools are slu and mcw? I realize that using acronyms is easier to type. But it just confuses us newbies on SDN.

st. louis university and medical college of wisconsin, sorry

The OP should note that the Texas schools do not utilize AMCAS. You will have to basically fill out another application that is the same length of the AMCAS just to apply to the TX schools. If you are looking to save time, you won't do it that way.

This is an excellent way of picking what schools to apply to... so when you get to your interview...

"Well I was too lazy to fill out a mini essay to apply to medical school but I assure you that I will work hard enough to become a doctor"
