Scienc LOR- from undergrad practicum class...does it count?

HI folks, so i took this class called Life Science Undergrad PRacticum- its a class about being the biology Ta's assistatn...we get a grade and all...the professor is a big shot in the science world...would a letter from him count as a science LOR? He's definetely on the science faculty.

Of course it would. Do you have a pre-med committee? They screen your letters, so that only that the three (or so) strongest ones are submitted. If so, my advice is to accumulate LORs and have a frank discussion before they're sent about which ones should be sent. If not, and you're in your first two years, don't have an LOR sent unless you are fairly sure it will be convincing.
