So AADSAS went through my transcript and my GPA is different than I had calculated myself (and my school)... It actually went up, so that was pleasing... however they have a lot of different GPA's that they figured out....
Biology GPA
Chem GPA
Physics GPA
BCP GPA
Other Sciences GPA
Non-Science GPA
and Cumulative GPA

I notice on the http://dentalstats.tripod.com/03-04.htm stats website that they only list Overall and Science. Which of these were they using for "Science"? Or were they using a combination of BCP and "Other Science"?
Anyone know?

Thanks,
Utes

in the past (like last year) they only calculated three GPA's: cumulative, total science, and BCP. i think the science on that website refers to total science, which in your case would be a combination of "other science" and BCP. if you want, you can approximate what your total science would have been by:
[(BCP* #BCP credits)+(other science*#o.s.credits)]/(sum of bcp and other science credits). and then compare that to the website.

Are you saying that they have already processed your application and sent you the student copy??? I thought they werent going to start processing till June. Also, the individual biology, chem, and physics GPA are new for this year.

I just looked at my application on their website and they also had my GPA's calculated already (submitted the 24th). So I was a little surprised to say the least. Their GPA's match my calcs using their system, but they show no repeated courses which is incorrect. Also, does anyone know what GPA w/o means? It re-calculates the GPA based on the same number of credit hrs., but different number of quality points. WTF??

I'm a non-science major so I don't have any "other science" courses listed. I have taken tons of science classes but they all fall under, B, C, or P. Does this matter? Also do you guys think schools will focus most on the total BCP gpa or the individual B, C, and P? I'm asking because my separate chem gpa is super low. Thanks guys

Unless you'd like to take engineering courses that will sink your science gpa like the Titanic be happy that you have no "other science" courses. 😀 I have no idea what the dental schools will focus on...I'm hoping Bio since mine is a 4.0. I would guess they would look at bio and chem before physics.

I was wondering about this, how long does it usually take before that post our aadsas gpa and stuff.

I applied around noon on the 24th and they had them up by the end of Friday. A lot quicker than I was expecting.
