Well as I hear from on here the SGPA consists of physics, biology, chemistry, and math...but the committee LOR application packet for my school asks to calculate the Science GPA and NOT include any math scores. I was just a little confused on this discrepancy, and wonder if anybody could clear it up for me. Thanks.

The discrepency is that your school is calculating sci gpa differently than AASDAS. AASDAS certainly includes it.

Thats what I was figuring, but why would they calculate SGPA without math if AASDAS does use it...and its not like the packet says all health pre-professionals need to exlude math (its a universal packet), it just says "Dentistry and osteopathic students should exclude math from SGPA"...so I thought it was a little weird.

It's interesting, but you need to keep in mind that AADSAS will calculate your Science GPA in TWO ways. First, they'll calculate one GPA for your Sciences with Math included. Second, they'll give you a "BCP" GPA that only includes the grades from Biology, Chemistry, and Physics coursework.

Hope this helps ...
