I e-mailed AACOMAS but they haven't responded yet. What do you guys think? Should these classes be counted towards my science grade point average?:

1. Biology, Society, and Ecological Issues (from the biological sciences department at my university)
2.Evolution of Animal Behavior (from the ecology department at my university)
3. Tropical Agriculture

Thanks!!!

They told me evo of animal behavior goes under behavior sciences aka non science gpa.

Tropical agriculture goes toward other ie non science

Go off your department classifications.

Failing that, go off the title and description.

(So #1 would fit under science. So would Tropical Agriculture if it was offered by the Bio department.)

+1 If offered by Biology dept it is science.

are you sure? i looked at the AACOMAS website and it said agriculture is non-science. but you are saying it would still be counted towards my science GPA if it is offered by the environmental and biological sciences department of my college??

Classify by the department offering it first, and if you can't find an answer in the instructions trying that, then go by title & description. If that doesn't work, use your best judgement and AACOMAS will change it if they see fit.

So, yes, it would be counted. I took "Community Biology", which was offered by my UG Bio department.

The entire class was about animals and how they establish themselves in habitats. Counted as a science course.

okay awesome. so wouldnt my animal behavior be counted as science as well since its offered by my ecology department??

I haven't looked at the instructional pdf in a while. Do they categorize ecology department stuff as a science? If so, then yes.

There were only one or two cases where I deviated from the department offering and made my own distinction.
