Does Astronomy count for science GPA? I think it does, but wanted to double check! 😵😵

PS how important is the BCP GPA? the averages for it aren't listed by the schools, all i've ever really heard of is the oGPA and sGPA

BCP calculation appears on your AADSAS application. It's pretty important because schools want to know that you're capable of performing well in science courses. But if your BCP is low, you can offset the stat by improving your grades with upper year science courses, which would be reflected in sGPA. So, I guess BCP is important, but should not discourage students from applying even if they did not do well during their freshmen year as long as their science grades improved over the years.

Astronomy in my school is under Physics. If you have any questions regarding courses, you can always email the ADEA/AADSAS. I emailed them regarding an Anthro course and they are said they would consider "human genetics" part of my science gpa despite it being anthro.

Yup. just as free99 said bcp is included in the sGPA. i know this since my sGPA woulda been a ton better if BCP was excluded lol!
