So I graduated with my business degree, however took most of my science courses my freshman and sophomore year. I have 1 LOR from an ochem prof, but I can't get another one. I have plenty of business professors who will write me one.

However, many dental school require 2 LOR from science professors. Should I still apply for certain dental schools if I don't have 2 from science professors??

There are a handful of programs that only require 1 science letter. Both Midwestern schools are great ones if your stats are there. Arizona is another one if you're a fit for their program. But definitely see if you can get another letter or you'll be VERY limited obviously, especially if you're not a superstar applicant who can risk applying just a few schools.

I was in your same boat with the whole business degree and only able to get one letter. But I was finally able to get another one and I was thrilled. If you have specific programs in mind, you could always ask, but don't expect special treatment or exceptions for you. I had asked one program how strict they were about the letters, and I was told to just get a generic letter. That was his advice. Just fulfill the requirement...who cares what it says, as long as it's not bad. There's one school (not sure which), but they actually mention in their letter requirements that it's a little different if you're not a science major. That would be nice.

Does a LoR from a research (science) professor count as a science letter?

i believe it does, as long as that student was taught or supervised by that professor
