I got one letter from my bio and TWO comp sci's.
I read SCIENCE and i thought computer science would fulfill it.
so political science is cool too?sdnmember said:I got one letter from my bio and TWO comp sci's.

Well computer science gets averaged as as part of a SCIENCE GPA? whereas Plitical science does not?
I mean come on, shouldn't they be more specific?
WOuld I be able to get by with 1 from bio and 2 from Comp sci?
I had 2 computer science recommendation letters. No shcools objected to it. Those letters got counted as Science recommendation letters, but couple of schools require letters from prerequisite course professors. So you have to get some extra ones thats about it.

That's good to hear. I all ready emailed my "Science" Professors right now begging them.
And do you believe that guy comparing computer science to political science?
Comp sci blows away all those so called 'science' courses away in terms of difficulty.

How many recommendations did you have and of what type? I'm really freaking out about this. I thought I had everytyhing prepared.
Im applying to NYU, BUffalo, Tmeple, Boston and Columbia. ONLY Buffalo needs PREREQ science courses, the others merely say SCIENCE. Buffalo requires HS transcript too. Go figure.
So would 2 comp sci and 1 bio be sufficient for those besides Buff?
Thanks!
Theoretically this is alright and fine, but I'd advise you that in my own mind, I think they'd like to see pre-req science letters more than comp science ones...it just makes more sense. Others however seem to think those will suffice so go for it.
Math counts as "other science" on AADSAS, so i think u shd b fine unless they specifically want from bio, chem or physics mentors! 🙂
I'm sorry to resurrect this old thread, buuuut...
would a statistics professor be included as a science professor?
