Can y'all help me identify which med programs are mid-to-top tier programs and are science/research oriented? I have good science scores but a lackluster verbal score (13 13 7 = 33R) and am hoping they'll concentrate more on my related ECs and science scores and undergrad curricula. I'm going to apply to many many of these types of med school programs for 2006, but I am at a loss as to which programs fall under this category. Please help me! Thanks in advance!

I think most top-tier schools are research oriented. Look at U.S. News rankings. Most of the schools listed on the research section indeed have good research programs (not all). It will also depend on what type of research and area you are interested in. Top-tier school may excel in one area of research, but a lower tier program could excel in other areas.
