My number one choice is SCO, but I don't hear it discussed too much on this forum. Does anyone know why?

Any feedback about Southern College of Optometry in Memphis would be great!

It's my number one choice too. I think a lot of people are turned off by it being in downtown Memphis, and that's probably why it's not as popular.

SCO is also my#1 choice. The doc I work for went there (20 yrs ago) and has told me you get soooo much hands on experience. His partner went to UAB and has told me that @ UAB everything is taught to textbook (which is good) but that common sense doesn't always come in to play in the classroom. The classroom and the real world will be completely different and I think the clinical experience you would get @ SCO (according to my doc) will been wonderful. I will apply both places - but SCO at this point is my #1 choice.
