Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! I scored a 14 on bio, 12 on verbal, but only an 8 on PS! (in all of the practice AAMC tests I usually scored around a 12 on PS). Should I retake the test?? If not, what kind of schools should i apply to? I have a 3.71gpa from ucla and lots of clinical experience and leadership (though not any research). THANKS AHEAD OF TIME!!

You need to be slapped. 34 is a great score!!

uhhh yeah, i think you deserve a kinder response, it wasnt that ridiculous of a question.

if it were me, I would opt to not retake at this poitn in the cycle. delaying it will hurt your chances more than an 8 in PS. plus, your BS score was great =p

Your question is reasonable, though I would not recommend retaking the test.

You should consider Jefferson Medical College, which is an excellent school. Also consider Drexel, Rochester, MC Wisconsin.

With your PS score and BCMP, however, many schools on your list are going to be very difficult. I don't recommend applying to: Columbia, Weill, Duke, Harvard, Hopkins, Sinai, NYU, Feinberg, Stanford, UCSF, Pritzker, Penn, UW (OOS) and Yale.

I think it depends on which schools you are aiming for....you should check out the LizzyM score spreadsheet...it will tell you where your PS is too low to apply to.

if the answer is yes retake, you scored far below your practice and then that reasoning should be good enough

Retake only if your score on the other two sections is consistent with your practice scores. If you did better than you expected on those then just leave it as is, your score is pretty good.

i could prob score a 12 on verbal again, but i doubt i would get a 14 in bio...
