Just finished my DAT. This is my second time taking the DAT and I improved a ton but my QR. sucks. I live in Missouri and applying to UMKC, What do you all think? I am above their ave. DAT and my gpa is not perfect but if I take into consideration that they say they allow retakes of classes my science gpa is 3.4 with a last 60 hrs ( all science) being 3.7.

Anybody know anything about UMKC?
I get the QR but get bogged down in the word probs. and just can't pass.

Every bio question seemed really easy. I think it all came from classes in cell bio, genetics, and seeing this crap over and over again in achiever and top score. Is my Qr gonna blow my chances????

I don't know a ton about UMKC but I have visited there and have an interview coming up in a few weeks. I can try to answer some questions if you have any but I'm no expert.

If you don't mind me asking, where do you go to school?

I would call UMKC and ask about the QR score though. Outside of that I would think you should get an interview for sure if you have already sent in your app.

I go to UMSL. I thought I studdied a lot for QR. I did the Destroyer math book 2X. I was getting 16-18 on top score. I just spent too much time on the time consuming probs instead of hunting for the easy ones.

Ok I just heard back from my UMKC. They said weight is given to the Acedemic Average and only the PAT is given individual consideration. They do not have any minimums in any subsection, but 16 is the minimum AA.

However it is known that they accept mostly Missouri res. and very few from selected states.
In my oppinion I believe they are more concerned with GPA than DAT.
