So I was wondering if anyone used the GRE score select option this cycle. I took the old GRE over a year ago and the new one about two weeks ago. I did significantly better two weeks ago but elected to send both scores to all my schools because I reported them on my VMCAS app. I know Tufts specifically says you must send all scores, using ScoreSelect is not allowed.

The idea that Score Select exists seems a bit dishonest but I guess that because it exists it is fair game. I have not seen any schools other than Tufts write a policy about it.

I am hoping most schools will end up taking most recent/highest scores. Does anyone know of schools that do not use either most recent or highest scores - that averages scores? Thanks!

How schools use scores depends on the school. They can possibly average scores, take the highest overall score, or take the highest section of each type (even if they come from different tests). Most schools will put how they judge on their websites.

I guess score reports must say if you used ScoreSelect?
