I called the testing site several times, but they never get the call... so I am wondering if I will get a erasable board with a marker or ???

What do we usually get? Do we get a board eraser with the board? or do we have to rush erasing with our hands?

Those of you who took kaplan, do we get the board similar to kaplan gives us?

Why not just give some blank papers....could have been much better for the students.

Really? That's crazy, I would have preferred paper. I called every single testing center in southern California and they all had the dumb dry erase sheets.

And to erase they give you just a standard dry erase eraser.

They never get my phone calls...it says to call the testing center on site, and that is what I did...

Do you know if they're pretty big??
I'd hate to be writing on a 8.5 by 11 dry erase boards with a marker that's like half an inch thick

yeah it was great because i can't write with thick pens, pencil, or markers. so i'm greatful. even tho it would have been great if they gave me a mechanical pencil so i woudlnt have to ask them to sharpen them every 30 mins hah

DAT, NBDE I and II, as well as DSCE for NERB they gave me 5/6 sheets of green paper with some official writing on the top of the first page. As well as 2 pencils. All of which was obviously collected at the end of the exam.

WTF is with this dry erase board??? First I have heard of it.

Must be saving the testing agency or the DAT/NBDE people time/money.

Are you serious or joking?? Hard to tell...

Yeah, the idea is completely laughable, but that's exactly what it is. (I'm being serious 🙁 ) .

The most irritating part for me, was that the eraser they gave me looked EXACTLY like my mouse - one of these weird ergonomic erasers - and I kept trying to click things with my eraser.

Oh, and the markers only last for about 45 minutes, depending on the brand they buy, I went through like 6 markers - be sure to cap them!

If you get a pencil paper facility, which I was totally unable to find a single one of, it's a blessing. But all in all, it's not that bad.

the testing center in charlotte is haha if you want to travel all they way to charlotte u could. i took the test about a year ago; it was an older testing center it wasnt a lcd screen or anything

Ya, those don't exist anymore really. I think markers and lcd screens are the only option now.

The markers are rather thick...But it works...

I'm a lefty and those dry erase boards...suck 👎
I completely agree. Erase boards and markers suck like hell...
when my sister took it, she got paper and pencils though she took it outside of NYC. I think if you are taking in NYC, expect to get erase boards...
I saw those MCAT takers have paper and pencils...why we DAT takers have erase boards instead?

do you get the test on paper as well, and you just fill out your answers on the computer?

i'm just really confused as to how you do pat without being able to draw on the structures (ie cubes)

You have to use your brain as the paper. That's the whole point...paper ruins the whole concept of the PAT section.

Let's be thankful that it's not a piece of high speed drill and amalgam they give us instead.

I don't think you would even want to be drawing structures when you're doing PAT... you only have an average of about 45 seconds per problem.
