Hi everyone,

I am about to put in my AMSA and wondering if I should include my scribe training experience. By that I mean I only went through the classroom training (8 days) and floor training (6 days). I was terminated by the end of the trainings because I wasn't a "scribe person". However I feel this experience was more meaningful than any other shadowing experience that I had because I was actually doing something. But I am afraid that being terminated suggests that I am "incapable". Any advice?

I wouldn't include it. I have a hard time believing that a 2 week experience contributed much to your motivation to be a physician. If so, then that's weaksauce, man.

Also, it would raise questions as to why you do not list scribing as an experience on your AMCAS.

Agree with Person0715, you would need to put in dates and contact person/info, and that would just open up potentially a lot of questions. Just let it be a lesson learned and move on.

Same thing happened to me. I posted about it about 2 wks ago or so, and the general consensus was to leave it off.
