Scribing question

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I should add that I was not in school during the time. I had a 7 month gap before beginning my postbacc

Why wouldn't you? You still worked there for 5 months..and it still gave you perspective on medicine.

Definitely add it. The main take away from scribing experience is that you experienced the doctor's interaction with the patient and his/her decision making process. That's quite a big deal. You missed out on the full experience of working in the ED with the rest of the staff, but that's not as big of a deal as the rest of it.

Add it!

I have to ask, were you working with Elite Medical Scribes? They showed that technology off at ACEP this year and I sort of hated it, but that's just my n=1. I think if I were a patient and my doc strolled in wearing Google Glass I'd start laughing. AND like... what if the interface you were using got hacked? Boom, HIPAA violation.

Soooo glad you got a better gig and can have patient contact!
