Anyone have any opinions between these two programs? I know that mercy is much bigger, and that green is very tightly knit and has a research institute next door... but that's about where my knowledge between the 2 programs stops. ANY input would be appreciated. I've already tried a search on this but the replies are very scant. Thanks in advance.

I would like to know about both as well, but here are some of the things I have heard:

Green is smaller, no ED(direct admits while on call), private patients so less resident autonomy and procedures, still good training with alot of big name researchers/faculty, good didactics, better rep, better chance at fellowships (esp competetive ones) because they have their own and tend to take their own

Mercy sees more uninsured patients and indigent population which may lead to more diverse pathology, busier, bigger, residents run the show and do tons of procedures as there are really not many other residents from other fields, less chance of fellowships but great for primary care or hospitalist training

Do you guys happen to know if most residents are foreign vs DO vs MD? I haven't had a chance to explore their websites just yet 🙂

Thanks!
