Excessive occlusal forces are not a primary cause of perio disease. Just because you can't see it radiographically doesn't mean its not there. If there is bleeding (a sign of inflammation) then you will want to SCRP. If there is no bleeding then you can either watch the areas or, preferably, send the patient for a consult on possible perio surgery. 5-6mm pockets are hard for a patient to maintain and can often be reduced with open flap debridement or osseous surgery.
