I have two spinal cord stimulator trials tomorrow one with Nevro one with Boston scientific. The patient getting the Boston scientific trial has a defibrillator. I was told last minute thatthe EPS rep cannot be there for the trial nor does he think it’s necessary. I’ve always done my low-frequency stim trials and with continuous monitoring. I’m confused as to why the Eps rep with Boston scientific believes it’s not necessary. I always thought that the Nevro H.frequency is outside of the realm or noise of the AICD, but that low frequency in the 20 to 50 Hz range is within the range of interference. Shall I trial the AICD patient with the Nevro system and NO monitoring tomorrow? Any thoughts? Thanks in advance .
