Can somebody explain to me the significance of the global period after performing SCS trials in the office? I have asked the rep's, but even they were not to clear about it.

Thanks.😕

hey I will tell you hwat i know whne we talk

SCS trial and perm placement is understood by medicare to be a staged proceedure.
63650 for the trial and 63650-51 for the perm.
There is a 90 global on the perm-- for the indication of that perm. Go ahead and tx the migraines, toe pain etc. You may also do a PNS within that global- as it is for a different component of pain-- just make ure you put a different primary diagnmosis for it.
