I thought we need a 'SDN Addicts Anonymous' thread, so I dedicate this to all of you addicted predents who check this website multiple times a day like it is the new facebook😀 Hope to see all of you in d-school:xf:

fell free to share how often you log in and how much you hate reading comments about others getting invites to your dream school while you check your email in hopes that you have one waiting for you too!

ummm...I'm in this category.

I'm an addict as well (the sad thing is that I'm not going to be applying for another 3 years)

Hi everyone, my fictitious name is Hank and Im an SDN addict..."hello Hank."

Is there a patch available?

currently at the shadowing at the hospital while on SDN. Fail.

lol.... i am in this catergory also... i check like 5 times a day... damn portable technology!

It is the first thing I check in the morning beside my emails, and the last thing before going to bed and many times in between.

Sometimes after I take a shot of SDN, I like to chase it with predents.com.

Hello to Hank and all of you SDN addicts..

I wish there was a patch available. Anyone want to start thinking about one? We do have a lot of smart ppl here!..This website is the second website I check when I wake up in the morning. First one is my email of course, and then it's SDN and predents to follow..Wouldn't it have been nice if Aadsas had a section for our application that asked how much time we spend on SDN. I would shine in that section😀

I already have many addictions, But SDN seems more serious. This is the site I first check next to my email. The last before bed, and may be 5-10 times b/n.

Is in it crazy. I used to do this on Facebook not any more thanks for SDn

Cheers Addicts

I know that I am currently only a junior member, but I have been a reader of sdn for many years now, and only recently started contributing. I think that is when my problem started. At work you can find me checking it regularly, which means at least hourly. If anyone has a good 12 step program, my wife would probably be grateful.

😀 FB no more, I have not check that one for a week and that is a long time to go w/o checking FB 😱

SDN is part of my online ritual now...Facebook, Yahoo, school email, AADSAS, and SDN. I probably log in a few times a day, but when I get on I usually only spend about 5-10 minutes unless I find an interesting thread, like this one!

I thought this was the new Facebook. ;-)

Anyway, I think that anyone who checks this website multiple times a day deserves to be admitted into professional school. :-D

Thats the first thing i checked in the morning before my gmail

I'm new, young, and afraid to post ( 😀 ). But I lurk this website like it's my job.

haha i refresh these threads to get updates faster! 😛

Made this especially for this thread

I partake in my two biggest vices at the same time, almost all day long: 1) Coffee and 2) SDN. I'm thinking about maybe taking up smoking, too.

When talking about the application process, my wife is probably sick of me starting every sentence with, "Well, you know what the people on SDN say?..."

I read SDN quite a bite.....I'm stopping....not completely but I decided to limit myself. Here's why....while it's a great place to get answers to non-subjective questions and many people are very supportive, there's a whole other side...a dark side.

How many times have you felt good after reading SDN? Truth is, there are many many 'I know everything' type of people injecting negativity.....and lots of it.

The Know it Alls......ever notice that the same 10 people answer every question. Don't let this tiny group define what pre-dental is.

The "I went to Harvard, have a 4.0 in Biomedical Engineering and got 29's on the DAT.....I'm so stressed..what are my chances?"........no explanation needed for these jack asses....c'mon go to Vegas for your back rubs

Pre-Dents.....Pre-dents represents a small number of applicants....not the majority....I believe more top performers than average are on pre-dents.

My point is that I've decided SDN more often than not counters what it was designed for. Time is better spent studying....or exercising....or interacting with humans. Listening to music, etc...Just my opinion. I believe there is silent majority of pre-health students who never step foot on these forums because they know there's a whole lot of BS and negativity and they don't want anything to do with it......I'm trying to become one of those rock stars....trying.

I told my wife last night to make sure I dont spend time on the computer on this forum; I should be studying for DAT instead because i'll never have a semester or break to studying for it.
