SDN featured in recent rad onc pubs

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Can I be included as a co-author since I was moderator at the time?

Same for me and Neuronix! I know I wasn't a mod at the time but it's academia!

I'm really surprised people are taking papers based on SDN data seriously. There is no quality assurance of any of the information within the resident interview spreadsheet. It could be all made-up. I think the fact that the spreadsheet, which is anonymous information from anybody who has access to it, and not necessarily actual 4th year medical students, is considered publishable data speaks volumes to how far we've fallen in terms of what is publishable.

And are we surprised that from the first paper: 1) People self-posting their scores online are more likely to have god-like scores than the NRMP applicant data, which is all comers? or 2) That being AOA and higher number of journal publications makes you more likely to match into Rad Onc

You only get to be put on papers for doing nothing if you're faculty at the institution where the resident or fellow wrote the paper.

Just kidding. Sort of.
