does anyone else realize that a vast number of people on sdn are sadly small-minded and petty...
in the last couple weeks that i have read the posts, this has been SDN:
"whahh... why doesn't everyone know penn is an ivy. naturally, if everyone doesn't know then it's not worth attending..."
"what is life like as a single dentist? because this is an existential question that is intelligent and matters..."
"how much do dentists make? how much will i make? how much does he make?"
"this is how much money i plan to make in 4 years even though i'm still struggling with finals..."
"whahh... why am i uninvited to meharry's party? damn affirmative action blacks; don't they know it's my business how others choose to associate and under what terms?"
"where are the (insert ethnicity) going? because i'm at usc and care that you're in the snow at marquette..."
"our ethnicity aspires to be the best as opposed to other ethnicities who simply can't see the stars, and because of course we are not one american family"
"it's somehow my business that for whatever personal reason you want to declare bankruptcy so let me attack you for it. didn't you know you need to justify yourself to me?"
and the best:
"why am i jealous of md's? of course i don't derive my self-worth because i'm an individual but because i'm a dentist and so people must be impressed... even in this case i'm a half-a** because i knew i should have pursued medicine for the wrong reasons and so now i'm not getting enough deference from people who do not matter"
that pretty much sums up 50% of SDN.
