You know, I've thought about committing myself! Ha! that's not what I wanted to write. I meant making the commitment to myself to go 1 week without checking sdn, maybe even starting a 1-week challenge thread, but I keep saying I can't do it because there are so many pre-dents starting the application cycle soon who would benefit from my interview experiences and the little advice and maybe there's some kid out there who has a question that only I can answer! That's my convenient excuse to keep feeding the addiction.
I have noticed that on warmer days I spend less time here and more time out throwing a football, so maybe you'll be seeing less of me as it gets warmer here.

How can you be intimidated, you're one of them now! Your a cog in the delicate and complex machinery of dentistry.
you know you are addicted if you are reading these words (note to self also). About 2 years ago when i had just discovered the site there was a period of maybe 4-5 days that the site was down... wow... we all had severe withdrawl symptoms... i know of one user who ended up on a bird breeding forum just to simulate the SDN "high"!!

Yes I too have had difficulty staying focused on studying, and SDN does not help. But I believe the info I get off here makes up for it. Like one of my threads where I talk about the possibility of not doing so well on a retake course. I'm not gonna say SDN is the reason for that, but I wont rule it out 🙄 . But then again I just get some moral support from you guys and what you think I should do, and it helps to correct itself. So, I guess SDN is a double edged sword for me.

I'm still here. The onset of summer curbed the addiction somewhat, and I went on a family vacation and was away from SDN for a week and since then the addiction hasn't been nearly as severe, but I'm still a once-a-day-er.

SDN is pretty intersting. Its very cyclical in nature. Last year i was all over DAT and predental now i never venture into DAT and am lurking more in dental, predental and dentaltown.
