I just took a couple of online kaplan RC practice tests and always run out of time! I tried the search and destroy method on the first one (got a 17👎thumbdown👎) and then tried reading the questions beforehand and got a 20🙁 on the second test...I really want to get a 22+ on RC and was wondering if anyone can suggest other strategies...my problem is that I forget what the questions are asking if I read through all of them before starting the passage..please help as I am starting to freak out!

i always do well with search and destroy, but then i took an achiever test where the RC questions were inference/tone/etc...and i failed miserably.

ive also tried kaplan's method with the outlining beforehand and that worked well too...haven't used it for achiever.

depends on your reading speed, but maybe just quickly read/skim the passage before answering the questions, possibly write down key words that might come up in a question (do all of this in 3 min) and then start answering questions based on what you read/keywords if you wrote any/and also using search and destroy? i dunno, i might try this, b/c achiever RC really handed it to me 🙁

I tried search and destroy on some practice tests. I ended up doing a lot more searching than destroying, and never finished the tests in time. Check out my breakdown for advice.
